An old house, a handshake, and a whole lot of heart.

Some homes have a way of finding you when you least expect it.

The Rock House was one of those homes.

After being loved by the same family for decades, this charming old house found itself with a simple For Sale By Owner sign in the front yard. When the asking price dropped to something we could hardly believe, curiosity got the best of us.

We had to take a look.

And wouldn’t you know it? We ended up buying the house on a handshake!

What followed was one of our favorite transformations to date.

Behind the dated finishes and walls of orange pine, we saw something special. A home with history, character, and so much untapped potential.

With Kevin leading the renovations and our talented son-in-law David lending his hands and skills along the way, this project became a true family affair.

Little by little, we transformed those tired spaces into something beautiful, blending old-world charm, collected treasures, thoughtful details, and a fresh new beginning.

The result? A home that still makes our hearts skip a beat.

Of all the houses we’ve had the privilege of transforming over the years, The Rock House will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
